Addanac City Christmas Cartoon

So my friend George over at Addanac City Cartoon has been doing a story arc about Christmas. He promised on Christmas Day to have a “gigantic” 24 panel cartoon and even posted a teaser. 

Here was our back and forth on his blog:

Bearman:  I have now successfully blown up your Christmas Day cartoon and posted it early on my site. HA HA HA..  I feel like the guy that sells DVDs of movies that haven’t even come out yet. 
George: You bootleggers and your fancy contraptions. You got a free visit from me just checking to see if you did so. 😀 .  You sneaky sonuvagun. 🙂
Bearman:  I don’t want to get missed in your rounds so I need to be sneaky that way. 
George: Actually, that was pretty ingenious of you. 😀 

Well to really screw with George, I thought, why not just go ahead and do it.

WTF: Caganer Pooping Christmas Statue

I have been to Spain. I have been to Spain at Christmas.  Unlike the crappy manger scenes that Americans make that is limited to the manger only, in Spain they make a scene of the entire town with the manger being only a part of it.

And while in America, you can barely get people to notice when a manger scene is erected, in Spain they line up for a half mile in some places just to see it.  I guess I didn’t look close enough to notice the Caganer.  Here is one of Queen Elizabeth.

Yes hidden in Spanish scenes is a pooping statue.  It started in Catalonia but has since moved to other areas.  Somehow it symbolizes equality because in the end it doesn’t matter how famous you are, everyone poops.

One company creates many varieties poking fun at various icons and celebrities. There is even a Barack Obama with the words “Yes we Can” on it. Check out the video.

Editorial Cartoon Caption Contest

Personally I dont know which group irritates me more during the holidays.  The first group are those that force their employees to say Happy Holidays instead of leaving it up to the individual to say Happy Holidays, Merry Chistmas, or even Good Solstice.  The second group are those who call for boycotting retailers who decide to use Happy Holidays in their advertising instead of Merry Christmas.

Surprisingly the PC police haven’t caught onto the fact that the word Holiday stems from Holy Day.   I had many different things running through my head as to what to put on the sign the guy on the right is holding.  Then I figured I have some talented readers so I thought I would do a…
