Blue Hippy Cats Avatar Review

Posted in BearToons with tags , , , on March 3, 2010 by bearmancartoons

Looks like our friends Corve and Jordasche have some competition in the movie reviewing business.

This video by what seems to be one kid using motion capture imaging software (much like what was used in the real Avatar) is making the rounds on YouTube. No way this was one guy doing this but I can see the technology being there soon where people could make their own Avatar in the comfort of their living room. But I am sure before we consumers get use of the technology some porn director will make a real “Blue Movie” using it.

Avatar and Sci Fi Conventions

1 14 10 Bearman Cartoon Avatar Sci Fi Convention Avatar

My first encounter with anything close to a Sci Fi Convention was when I worked at a movie theater and we were doing a Star Trek marathon of the first four movies back to back.  People were dressed as Klingons, as Kirk, as spock and as other random characters.  However the one that made me actually laugh out loud was the 4 foot 10 inch woman dressed like a tribble.

Now with Avatar taking the world by storm will it also take over Comic-Con and other Sci Fi conventions?  I am foreseeing alot of blue body paint being sold this year and some of the models won’t be so pretty.

Create Cartoon Characters of Yourself

Posted in News with tags , , , , , , , , , on December 15, 2008 by bearmancartoons

Hongkiat.com has a great post about 11 different sites that you can visit to create cartoon characters of yourself. My favorites were the South Park Studio and Simpsonize ME (obviously to create your own Simpsons character.

I created a cartoon likeness of a family member and had it made into a photo cake. Regular photos look too cheesy but give your friend/loved one a cake with an cartoon likeness of them and they will love it.
