Retro Editorial Cartoon: Halloween and Politicians

October 31 around here doesn’t only mean Halloween. It means an election is right around the corner. This is the time the politicians and lobbyists pick it up on the rhetoric, scare tactics and door-to-door visits. I did this one in 2007.

  1. Funny how the more things change, the more they stay the same.

  2. And those politicians have even worse tricks planned for us after they win.

  3. and it’s never treats with them!

  4. And they all wear the same costume.

  5. Do you vote bearman?

  6. That would suck if you were just a kid dressed as a Politician…

  7. Oh, come on, that’s just Hillary looking for Bill!

  8. Susi Spice Says:

wow in a way im glad its compulsory to vote here in aus… we dont need to deal with pollies and their party supporters campaigning to get ppl out to vote and vote for them.

  9. I had a politician come to my house once & I just happened to be in a bad mood due to a tap washer change going horribly wrong. I was heading out the door to the hardware shop when he accosted me in my front yard. I told him that it really annoyed me that when it’s election time they come around sucking up for our votes but the rest of the year they don’t give a damn about us. Then I rather rudely told him to go away. Being the nice kinda bloke I am, once I calmed down I felt really bad for being horrid to him.

  10. Ah yes..sniff…sniff….can you smell it?

Politicians on the prowl for that elusive bloodsucking gullible piece of human anatomy called “a voter”.

  11. spilledinkguy Says:

Awww, but sir … I only need a minute of your time … 🙂

  12. You have to admit though, we still have the best form of government that money can buy. It would have been funny though if you had done one on halloween with a politician soliciting votes in the cemetery.

  13. Thankfully there’s only 1 more day left of that…until the next election

  14. this is one of the main reasons that I live in a gated community

  15. Just argue with them if you oppose them. Share the light with them.

  16. Don’t they have a spray or a glue strip or something to take ‘care’ of them?

    : )
