Sarah Palin announced she is quitting her Governorship of the state of Alaska. Even after supposedly explaining her reasons, no one can figure it out. No one but of course ME.

Hey – I could understand that. I mean, webcartooning makes me one totally busy dude. Really. And I’m sure I could grab a speaking engagement or two. Really. Hmmm …
July 4, 2009 at 12:33 pm
I’d pay to see you. Let’s see what do I have in my pocket….how’s 57 cents, some lint and a half piece of gum?
July 4, 2009 at 1:37 pm
What kinda gum?
July 4, 2009 at 2:14 pm
cinammon of course.
July 6, 2009 at 11:13 am
Ha! I am now link monster. How much you want for the gum?
July 6, 2009 at 2:40 pm
57 cents so I can double my money.
July 7, 2009 at 7:34 am
Does that include shipping and handling? Is there a “But Wait” moment, like I get a free gum wrapper with it if I pay extra shipping and handling? Shopaholic minds want to know. These things are important. Sarah? She ain’t buying no gum: she’s off fishing, or maybe just off.
July 7, 2009 at 7:38 am
For $100, I’ll send you an entire pack and sign it..ha ha
July 7, 2009 at 9:12 am
I’ll give you sixty cents if the gum isn’t already chewed. Thirty if it is (and you have an autographed certificate of authenticity).
July 7, 2009 at 11:18 am
Oh, it’s a bidding contest you want, huh George? Okay: sixty one cents and bearman can fake the autograph . . . wait . . . huh?
July 4, 2009 at 2:01 pm
She’s decided to become a community organizer so she’ll be more qualified for the presidency.
July 4, 2009 at 2:15 pm
Too funny…welcome to the madhouse nick.
July 4, 2009 at 2:23 pm
i dont likeher and all her “family values” crap is definitely hard to believe. the media whores are hard at work in america right along with the all the over rated celebutrash! sorry michelle obama- don’t like you either. don’t smoke the hopium!
July 4, 2009 at 2:25 pm
Spoken like a true noncommital Libertarian..ha ha j/k
July 4, 2009 at 2:29 pm
i don’t drink the american koolaid either and i’m sick of the american sheeple following politics blindly without any real research other than mainstream media (CNN and FOX News). i get my news from independent sources–but that’s just me. on another note: i loved your comic today. yeah unfortunately it’s all about the almightly dollar in this country- and seeing just how much crap one can amass. see? this is why i cant comment on politics- i’m too passionate about my beliefs! great post bearman!!
July 4, 2009 at 2:31 pm
i’m comitted to anything that’s in the Constitution, otherwise the govt can butt out of my business. bearman, you are very intuitive…..have a great day!
July 4, 2009 at 4:16 pm
At the end of the day, there are few people (self included) that don’t have the almighty dollar in mind on a consistent basis. Personally I don’t fault Palin if this indeed is the reason. I think it is in poor taste the people that will lambast her for her decision b/c they think it might hurt the party.
Sometimes you have to look out for what is best for yourself
July 4, 2009 at 7:06 pm
that’s the problem bearman, it’s become all about the party and not the people.
July 4, 2009 at 2:38 pm
After she’s done shootin’ all the moose in Alaska, maybe she’ll start a witch huntin’ club. She got em driven out once, she can sure do it again. Wonder what it cost for a good witch hunt nowadays?
July 4, 2009 at 4:17 pm
See Jammer…you are more involved in politics than me so I have to research now to figure out what you are talking about..ha ha
July 4, 2009 at 3:36 pm
Definitely all about the money with Sarah!
July 4, 2009 at 4:17 pm
But not with YNB?
July 4, 2009 at 7:16 pm
money is such a relative thing. we need it to survive yes but greed is by far something totally different. perhaps i mispoke…greedy people and corporations are my problem. american businesses closing down here to open up in mexico for the added profit. like walmart for example, i can’t stand that store. did you know that they take out “dead peasant” policies on you once you are hired? see this video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ik30ijaBgUA. very interesting..
July 5, 2009 at 12:44 am
In my mind there is Greedy (which I don’t mind) and deceptive or downright unlawful like a Madoff. I think that link about Walmart is disturbing that they would do that. I understand it for Executives or certain positions. However, we are quick to judge Walmart when many other companies do the same thing. So is it Walmart’s fault (among others) or the government underwriting requirements for allowing someone to take out a life insurance policy on someone else without their knowledge. (Think this loophole has been closed)
July 4, 2009 at 5:13 pm
odd for a politician to feel the pull of money isnt it lol
July 5, 2009 at 7:58 am
true true…but usually it is, I need a billion dollars for my state to build a highway with my name on it.
July 5, 2009 at 3:53 am
Nice toon Bear, honestly, I hope she’s just trying to monetize her fame and not because she wants to run for president in 2012.
July 5, 2009 at 7:59 am
Either way, I am sure the media will go overboard in the coverage.
July 5, 2009 at 6:30 am
Of course its about the money.
Gotta finish paying those bills for all of those pesky ethics complaints that she’s been bombarded with this year.
July 5, 2009 at 8:00 am
G you changed your gravatar…what is that a dog???
July 7, 2009 at 5:24 am
Only for WordPress blogs. I still have the skeleton draped over the computer monitor as normal.
I broke down last week and signed up with gravatar.com.
Yes, it’s a dog. I call him “Hong Kong Phooey”.
July 7, 2009 at 7:38 am
Is he “number one super guy?”
July 5, 2009 at 8:56 am
Which day job? Gov’na or the next contestant on “I’m a Celebrity Get Me Outta Here”?
July 5, 2009 at 9:19 am
Well she has to qualify for being a bigger celebrity than Speidi or Blagoyavich’s wife
July 5, 2009 at 3:31 pm
You did a really good job on Sarah Palin, Bearman. Now, may I have my turn on her? (insert drumroll please). But, no, really, you outdid yourself on this one. And I totally agree with you. Why would she want to remain a lowly paid governor when she can make more just doing speaking engagements and posing in Playboy?
July 5, 2009 at 7:03 pm
I thought that meant you were going to send me an editorial cartoon.
July 6, 2009 at 10:18 am
I’ve got ya! I have to find my muse. I haven’t been passionate since Oprah screwed me outta my free grilled KFC chicken that time.
July 6, 2009 at 2:40 pm
Had the chicken…wasn’t worth the hype.
July 7, 2009 at 9:13 am
Anything free tastes good by my count.
July 5, 2009 at 10:37 pm
I miss Sarah already… And now I am over her.
July 6, 2009 at 7:25 am
You are fickle that way.
July 6, 2009 at 12:23 pm
I just think she is crazy
July 6, 2009 at 2:41 pm
Crazy ha ha or crazy woo hoo?
July 7, 2009 at 11:33 am
George
I’ll give you sixty cents if the gum isn’t already chewed. Thirty if it is (and you have an autographed certificate of authenticity).
jammer5 Says:
Oh, it’s a bidding contest you want, huh George? Okay: sixty one cents and bearman can fake the autograph . . . wait . . . huh?
It is more expensive if it has been chewed. See above Jammer…I’ll send you a WHOLE pack and sign it for a mere $100.
