Bearman Cartoon: Obama wins Peace Prize?
My friends on the right at Big Hollywood and also on the left at the Cincinnati Beacon are a flutter about President Barack Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize. Seems the President himself was a little confused as he is only the third US President to win while in office. Maybe he just misunderstood the call.

I suppose we should be grateful Angelina Jolie didn’t get it, though I think she has done more than Mr President on the whole humanity thingy. Not that I have anything against Obama, poor guy didn’t even know he was nominated (I guess his wife knows how to keep a secret
).

What? No comment about me being gone and you went into the DT’s without a cartoon for 3 days?
Angelina should get it. She is adopting all the worlds unwanted children.

I know…I figured you couldn’t resist another opportunity to finger point that out.
October 11, 2009 at 10:18 am

October 12, 2009 at 6:03 am
How come Jammer doesn’t come around until the word “finger” shows up.
October 12, 2009 at 7:14 am

October 12, 2009 at 8:26 am

October 12, 2009 at 12:19 am

Goodwork Bear. The Peas prize makes more sense to me. I was really puzzled about the other one. I think the Nobel Peace Prize has become a popularity contest now.
October 10, 2009 at 12:09 pm
Not sure about that. Sure Al Gore and Carter have won it recently but then again last years winner was MARTTI AHTISAARI. Now anyone know who he is?
October 10, 2009 at 11:26 pm
Are you sure you got the spelling right?
October 11, 2009 at 9:33 am
Its off the Nobel site.
October 11, 2009 at 11:59 am
Just checking, I thought I could buy a vowel!
October 12, 2009 at 8:29 am

October 10, 2009 at 12:09 pm

October 12, 2009 at 7:15 am
Now we are talking!
October 11, 2009 at 11:18 pm
what did Obama actually do to win the Nobel Peas..i mean Peace Prize? i like the persona of the guy but i need to read up on what it was for..unless they gave it to him as they adopted the notion of “if you build it they will come”… maybe they thought “If we give him the peace prize then maybe he WILL bring peace” self fulfilling prophecy. mmmm fulfilling peas…. *drool*
on the other hand maybe it was the fact that GWB was sooooooooooo bad that really if it had been Sarah Palin in office she would have won it because “I can see russia from my back yard” would be enough for the selection criteria of winning a nobel peace prize when weighed up against mr “they have weapons of mass destruction..somewhere… i think… but couldnt rightly say at this point in time”-Bush.
October 12, 2009 at 6:02 am
There have been years where they didn’t award the prize. Maybe this could have been one.
October 11, 2009 at 11:20 pm
Nobel’s peas are the tastiest in town.
October 12, 2009 at 6:01 am
ewwww…another pea lover
October 12, 2009 at 1:38 am
Nobel peas come frozen right?
October 12, 2009 at 6:01 am
Sadly only Birdseye.
October 12, 2009 at 9:20 am
I your Obama is looking really good!
I must say, as an Obama lover, the Noble does make no sense, the dude hasnt been in office long enough to have done anything to deserve the award. (not to say in a couple of years he wont.) I have a hunch it is more a statement agianst the Bush administration then a huge pro-Obama statement.
October 12, 2009 at 9:32 am
Agreed especially since the nomination were due 11 days after Obama took office. Think it was the timing that was off on this one.
November 9, 2009 at 3:00 pm
1. It really is ridiculous for Obama to win the peace prize when he hasn’t really done anything. He hasn’t been in office for a whole year yet, even.
2. That doesn’t change the fact that this cartoon is still extraordinarily lame and unfunny.
November 9, 2009 at 5:37 pm
So you are saying I shouldn’t hold my breath for the Cartoon Pulitzer??
